After seeing the artistry and magic of Lord of the Rings at the age of 11, Kate announced, “That’s what I want to do—make-up!” Sending away for her first theater make-up kit, Kate volunteered for every school and community theater production, and taught herself make up, prosthetics, hair styling and wig making over a seven year period. In college, she worked on over 20 productions as make-up and hair designer, artist, and stitcher, earning two certificates in theatrical costuming and make-up, as well as a certificate in Moulage for providing services in several community disaster training events. Kate is a graduate of Make-Up Designory (MUD) in Burbank where she received extensive training in beauty, and SPFX make-up as well as hair styling. Kate is currently working in the LA area.
